A History of Violence

Watched: 4/27/08
With: Joey
Year: 2005
Reason for watching: Joey's Netflix
Opinion: This movie just kinda ended and didn't seem to have a lot of structure behind it in the first place.
Watch again?: no
Recommend?: probably not

The Big Chill

Watched: 4/27/08
With: Joey
Year: 1983
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: Um...okay. It was not the best nor the worst movie I've seen. Definitely shows the bond of friendship but even that is taken overboard just a little bit.

Poirot: Death on the Nile

Watched: 4/26/08
With: myself
Year: 2004
Reason for watching: Netflix, one of my favorite Agatha Christie books.
Opinion: This is a remake. I haven't seen the original. I read the book so many years ago that I have to dig it out of a box and reread it. I enjoyed watching the film.

The Constant Gardener

Watched: 4/25/08
With: Joey
Year: 2005
Reason for watching: Joey's Netflix
Opinion: It is a good film about the AIDS epidemic in Africa and the lengths that Big Businesses will go through to "test" their medicines. Ralph Fennes did a great job. However, it was a little long.

With: Myself
Year: 2006
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: A powerful documentary based on the life of Simon Wiesenthal, a Holocaust survivor who went after the Nazis who committed war crimes. Only downfall was having to listen to Nicole Kidman narrate.

Six Feet Under: Season 4 (Episodes 9-12)

Watched: 4/18/08
With: myself
Year: 2004
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: Another season ends and all I want to do is scream at a couple of the characters. Good writing and acting will cause you to do that.

The Mist

Watched: 4/18/08
With: Joey
Year: 2007
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: This was a rather good adaptation of a Stephen King novella, something that isn't always done. Some of it was confusing, as in, which monster is really out there.

Six Feet Under: Season 4 (Episodes 2-5)

The Island

Watched: 4/11/08
With: Joey
Year: 2005
