Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Season 1 (Episodes 13, 14)

Watched: 6/29/08
With: myself
Year: 1955, '56
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: Back to suspense after the Christmas episode. And good suspense it was.
Watch again?: yes
Recommend?: yes

Heroes: Season 1: Episodes 5-10

Watched: 6/29/08
With: Joey
Year: 2006
Reason for watching: Joey's Netflix
Opinion: Yes, it's sci-fi but some things should be just a little more realistic-the every day type of things-not the special powers that people have. So some things are urking me...probably the fact that I'm not a huge sci-fi fan and I'm watching a bunch of episodes together. Still think that it's a decent show and can understand the popularity.
Watch again?: probably...just not soon

Perfect Murder, Perfect Town

Watched: 6/27/08
With: myself
Year: 2000
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: I had read the book on the JonBenet Ramsey case and saw that Netflix had the movie. It pretty much followed the book and what had happened during the investigation. Just wish that Mom and Dad were a helluva lot more cooperative...oh but wait, then their guilt probably would have been discovered.....

30 Days: Season 1 (Muslim and Americans, Straight Man in a Gay World, Off the Grid)

Watched: 6/26/08
With: Myself
Year: 2005
Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: This episode dealt with a Christian man from WV going to Michigan to live as a Muslim for 30 days. After 9/11, an episode like this needed to happen in order to show that Muslims are not the enemy and their faith is actually a non-violent one unlike what is portrayed on television. These episodes should open the eyes of many Americans.

Reason for watching: Netflix
Opinion: I really enjoyed Super Size Me and had caught one of these episodes while flipping through the channels. It really is an eye-opener of what people are struggling with and what they will put their bodies through.

With: Joey
Year: 1955

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

Watched: 6/13/08
With: Joey
Year: 1962
Reason for watching: Joey's Netflix, I have this one on video
Opinion: For some reason I just love the chemistry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in this film. It's probably the psychological screwed-up character that Bette Davis plays.

Murder in Three Acts

Watched: 6/9/08
With: myself
Year: 1986
Reason for watching: Netflix, fan of Agatha Christie
Opinion: I don't know if it's because I've seen David Suchet as Hercule Poirot first that it is hard for me to accept a different actor playing Poirot or if I'm like everyone else and just prefer Suchet as Poirot. This is another great plot but overacting in this made for tv movie.

Recommend?: only for true die hard Agatha Christie fans

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls

Watched: 5/31/08
With: Joey and Julie
Year: 2008
Reason for watching: It's Indy!
Opinion: I loved the fact that they made sure that it had the feel of the first Indiana Jones's movies. Snappy funny lines, great chemistry among the actors. I'm not sure about Cate Blanchett being in it. Without giving anything away, it was obvious that Steven Spielberg was missing a part of his life while director and producing this film.
